Particle は vs が: What if you choose non-standard particle
In the previous video, I talked about how the standard choice between the particles が and は changes depending on the type of sentence. This time, I'll explain the nuance that gets added when you go with the non-standard choice.
This nuance is essentially the core function of the particles は and が themselves, so it's a perfect way to build your intuition for particle selection.
As I mention in the video, particle choice exists on a spectrum — from "clearly unnatural" all the way to "both work, but the nuance is different."
It might be a good idea to pay attention to which particles are being used when you read various texts or listen to videos and podcasts!
Next time, I'm planning to share a video with some quick tips on pronunciation:)
